WASHINGTON (AP) — Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren has endorsed Hillary Clinton's White House bid. Warren, appearing with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, says she's "ready to work her heart out" and "make sure Donald Trump doesn't get any place close to the White House." Earlier in Washington, President Barack Obama endorsed Clinton through a web video that was released after Obama met with Bernie Sanders at the White House. Obama said Sanders economic policy should be embraced.

WASHINGTON (AP) — On the same day the president endorsed his rival, Bernie Sanders has held a rally in the nation's capital. Sanders addressed supporters in an evening campaign rally at Washington's RFK Stadium. Sanders covered all the issues he normally does in his stump speech. But he did not mention Hillary Clinton and barely brought up Tuesday's Democratic primary in Washington.

JERUSALEM (AP) — The U.N. Security Council has condemned Wednesday's deadly shooting in Tel Aviv, Israel. A council statement approved by all 15 members expressed sympathy to the families of the four civilians killed and many injured in the attack by two West Bank Palestinians. Council members "reiterated that any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable."

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Attorneys for the man accused in the shooting deaths of nine parishioners at a South Carolina church have filed notice that they want to forgo a jury trial and have the federal judge hearing the death-penalty case decide their client's fate. Dylann Roof faces federal charges including hate crimes in connection to the shootings, which took place June 17 during a Bible study at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston.

WISHEK, N.D. (AP) — Three people are dead after a small plane being flown by a 19-year-old crashed into a lake in North Dakota.
