NEW YORK (AP) — Time and Motion showed patience Sunday in winning the $200,000 Wonder Again Stakes for 3-year-old fillies on the turf at Belmont Park.

She spent over three-quarters of a mile hugging the hedge in sixth place while Taralena set the pace. Jockey John Velazquez spotted an opening turning for home and Time and Motion surged to victory on a six-wide sweep to continue her perfect season.

She is 3 for 3 this year, including a win in Aqueduct's Memories of Silver Stakes. The next target, according to trainer Jimmy Toner, will be the $1 million Belmont Oaks Invitational on July 9.

"It's a long way to go, but she's been working her way there," Toner said.

The time was 1:47.48 for 1 1/8 miles.

Time and Motion, the 7-2 third choice in the 10 horse field, paid $9.20, $5 and $3.60. Harmonize, the 5-2 favorite, briefly held the lead in the lane before Time and Motion motored by. She settled for second, returning $4.30 and $3.10. Last Waltz paid $6.30 to show.
