UNDATED (AP) — The National Weather Service is warning of an "enhanced" risk of severe storms in the mid-Atlantic region. A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for much of the area east of the Blue Ridge Mountains through tonight, with the primary threat being damaging winds. Meanwhile, much of Florida's western coast is under a tropical storm warning. Forecasters expect a tropical depression in the Gulf of Mexico to grow into a tropical storm and lash the Tampa-St. Petersburg area with wind and heavy rain.

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — The family of a missing Kansas boy says a body believed to be his has been found. The Wichita Eagle reports that the body was found yesterday by a kayaker, downstream from the area where searchers had been looking. Eleven-year-old Devon Cooley has been missing since he fell into a flooded creek on May 27.

SEATTLE (AP) — An oil-train derailment and fire has damaged essential city services in a small Oregon town. Authorities in Mosier say the waste water treatment plant and sewer system are not operational as a result of Friday's derailment. An area about a quarter mile around the train remains evacuated and officials are conducting continuous water and air monitoring.

LOWRYS, S.C. (AP) — Deputies in South Carolina say a skydiver has died after falling about 14,000 feet. Authorities say 32-year-old Bond Springer and another experienced skydiver were doing advanced wing suit maneuvers during the final day of CarolinaFest, an event featuring specialized jump teams, when they collided in midair. The other skydiver deployed his main parachute and landed with a broken leg.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" has opened at the top of the box office, even though its estimated $35.3 million is only about half of what the first Turtles film opened to in 2014. "X-Men: Apocalypse" is No. 2, after falling 66 percent in its second weekend in theaters. The romantic tearjerker "Me Before You" opened higher than expected, taking third place.
