SALT LAKE CITY — The temperatures are rising, summer is calling and with that, the perfect time to shop for fresh local produce.
Though some farmers markets have begun across Utah, many more open in the next few weeks.
In addition to providing many Utahns an option to buy fruits and vegetables locally, many of these markets also feature bakery vendors, as well as various arts and crafts vendors, while also providing a fun atmosphere for families.
Here’s a list of the farmers markets across the state:
SALT LAKE REGION
Benson Grist Mill Harvest Days - Farmers Market and Craft Fair
Location: Benson Grist Mill (325 State Road 138 in Stansbury Park)
Times and dates: Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from July 9 to Oct. 29
Francis Family Farms Fruit and Veggie Market at Gardner Village
Location: Gardner Village (1100 W. 7800 South in West Jordan)

Location: 296 E. Murray Park Way in Murray
