ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — The Los Angeles Angels have reinstated closer Huston Street from the disabled list.
The Angels announced Street's return from a five-week injury absence Monday night.
The Angels recalled left-hander Chris Jones from Triple-A Salt Lake. Reliever Deolis Guerra was designated for assignment, and reliever Mike Morin was optioned to Salt Lake.
Street hasn't pitched since April 23 due to a strained oblique muscle. The veteran has five saves with a 1.17 ERA.
Los Angeles dropped Guerra one day after he pitched two hitless extra innings against Houston. Morin was sent to the minors after giving up pinch-hitter Carlos Correa's three-run homer in the 13th inning of Los Angeles' 8-6 loss.
Jones is 3-4 with a 6.32 ERA in nine starts for Salt Lake this season.
