Researchers working on creating ‘invisibility cloak'

Thought it could only be found in the "Predator" and "Star Trek" movies? Some scientists are moving closer to the reality of a cloaking device, or invisibility cloak.

Don't you hate how those Klingons just sneak up on you? Some day, the power may be in your hands.

University of Utah mathematician Graeme Milton has looked into the idea. "Basically, it's guiding light around an object," he said.

University of California-Berkeley scientists are behind this research. They apparently used "meta-materials" -- mixtures of metal and circuit board materials -- to cloak three-dimensional objects.

Findings for the experiments will appear later this week in the journals "Science" and "Nature."
