CAIRO (AP) — Officials are cautioning that it's still too early to say what brought down EgyptAir Flight 804. Leaked flight data shows trouble in the cockpit and smoke in a lavatory, as well as alarms going off on the Airbus 320 before it plunged into the Mediterranean early Thursday with 66 people on board. France's foreign minister says "all the hypotheses are being examined." The plane went down on a flight from Paris to Cairo.

WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is touting the advantages of a more diverse military. The vice president also saluted class president Eugene "E.J." Coleman for publicly coming out as gay. Biden warned the graduating class at West Point that it's facing a vast range of complex challenges.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Hillary Clinton says Donald Trump's gun policies are "not just way out there" but "dangerous" and would make America less safe. She spoke tonight at a Florida conference organized by the Trayvon Martin Foundation to help mothers who've lost children or family members to senseless gun violence. It was led by Sybrina Fulton, whose 17-year-old son, Trayvon Martin, was fatally shot by a neighborhood watch volunteer in 2012.

A Dutch climber who died Friday was confirmed as the year's first death on the world's highest mountain.

BALTIMORE (AP) — Exaggerator is the winner of the 141st running of the Preakness Stakes, ending Nyquist's Triple Crown bid. It was the first loss for the Kentucky Derby winner, who won his first eight races. Nyquist came in third today on a rain-soaked and muddy Pimlico Race Track. Cherry Wine finished second. The day got off to a sad start when two horses died and a jockey was injured early in the undercard.
