GRANTSVILLE — Strong winds led to two semitrucks blowing over on I-80, which closed off a portion of the highway.

Utah Highway Patrol trooper Evan Kirby said I-80 eastbound was closed from milepost 84, near Grantsville, to milepost 85 due to the two wrecks. The highway was closed for nearly two hours and was reopened around 7 p.m.

Both crashes happened within five minutes of each other at about 5:15 p.m., Kirby said.

"They're both about within a half mile of each other at milepost 84," Kirby said.

Kirby said the crashes led to minor injuries.

He added semitrucks and those with campers are at particular risk with high winds and should use caution.
