CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — The athletics department at UNC-Chapel Hill is cleaning out its attic and offering fans and collectors a chance to cash in.

The department has scheduled a yard sale for Saturday at the Eddie Smith Field House. It's scheduled to begin at 7 a.m., and offers shoppers the opportunity to purchase more than 12,000 items, including 500 football jerseys, 100 pairs of Jordan brand basketball shoes, baseball bats, socks and towels.

A listing of items for sale is available at www.goheels.com .

Officials say shoppers can arrive as early as 4 a.m. and line up on Carmichael Drive. Overnight camping is prohibited. The department is also limiting sales of Jordan brand footwear to one pair per person, and the same applies for Nike argyle footwear.
