RABAT, Morocco (AP) — Top-seeded Timea Bacsinszky of Switzerland beat fifth-seeded Timea Babos of Hungary 6-4, 7-5 on Friday to reach the Grand Prix SAR final, where she will face qualifier Marina Erakovic of New Zealand.
Bacsinszky, ranked 15th, broke Babos' serve six times in their first meeting since 2010 and now goes for her fourth career title.
A French Open semifinalist last year, Bacsinszky will be playing in her seventh final and her previous title was at Monterrey, Mexico last year.
Earlier, Erakovic beat 2012 champion Kiki Bertens 2 -6, 7-6 (7), 7-5 in a topsy-turvy match featuring 15 breaks of serve and 11 double faults.
Erakovic, ranked 186h, reached her first clay-court final and her fifth overall.
Her only title was three years ago at Memphis on an indoor hard court.
