CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — Authorities say a man died from injuries he sustained during a robbery near the Gotts Point area of Lake Lowell. KBOI-TV reports a 49-year-old man was robbed of his car, clothing and other items Friday morning. Nampa Police say they've arrested four people in their 20s in connection with the incident.
EMMETT, Idaho (AP) — Authorities have identified a body found earlier this week near Blacks Canyon Reservoir in southwest Idaho as that of a 31-year-old man who went missing earlier this month. The Gem County Coroner's Office says a cause of death for Nigel Youngberg has not yet been determined.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson are requesting to weigh in on a class-action lawsuit against Idaho's public defense system. The parties earlier this month filed a motion to join the lawsuit on behalf of the United States.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The bison could soon become the national mammal of the United States. Legislation approved by Congress would elevate the bison's stature to that of the bald eagle, long the nation's official bird. Lawmakers called the bison _ North America's largest land animal _ the embodiment of American strength and resilience and said it reflects the nation's pioneer spirit.
