SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — The Sacramento Kings have hired Ken Catanella as assistant general manager.
General manager Vlade Divac announced the move Thursday to add a salary cap expert to his front office. Catanella spent the past five years as director of basketball operations and assistant general manager for Detroit. He has also worked for the league office and the Nets.
Catanella will function as the organization's salary cap specialist and support Divac with personnel decisions and day-to-day management of the basketball operations department. He will also assist with the team's statistical and analytical systems.
