CHICAGO (AP) — The NFL Draft is being staged tonight in Chicago with the Los Angeles Rams choosing first. The Rams acquired the pick in a mega-trade with Tennessee. Choosing second is Philadelphia, as the Eagles got that pick from Cleveland in another big deal.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The owner of the Oakland Raiders wants to move the team to Las Vegas. Mark Davis says he will put up $500 million for the building of a new stadium in the city. The Raiders have a one-year lease in Oakland for next season, and Davis indicates the team would likely stay there until a new stadium is built.

BOSTON (AP) — Atlanta's Hawks can clinch a spot in the second round of the NBA playoffs tonight. The Hawks top the Celtics 3-2 with Game 6 tonight in Boston. Celtics coach Brad Stevens says it looks like All-Star Isaiah Thomas should be being able to play in the game.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The opening game of the Washington-Pittsburgh Stanley Cup second-round playoff series starts tonight in the nation's capital. The series features two of the game's top stars in Alex Ovechkin (oh-VECH'-kin) of the Caps and Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby. The second game of the best-of-seven series will be on the same ice this Saturday.

UNDATED (AP) — An indictment has been handed down in the case of the murder of former New Orleans Saints lineman Will Smith. A grand jury has indicted Cardell Hayes on a second-degree murder charge in the death of Smith as well as charges of attempted second-degree murder because police say he shot and wounded Smith's wife after they got into a traffic dispute.
