INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Saying Carly Fiorina isn't intimidated by bullies, Ted Cruz has asked her to be his running mate. But first Cruz will have to overtake front-runner Donald Trump, who easily outdistanced the Texas senator in all five of yesterday's presidential primaries. Fiorina is a former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard and abandoned a presidential bid.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump has used a prepared speech on foreign policy to assert that the U.S. must "shake the rust off" its foreign policy and put "America first." The address, given at a Washington hotel, criticized the Obama and Bush administrations. Criticism of the speech has been bipartisan. South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, a former rival, said it was "worse than Obama."

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House has approved legislation requiring the government to get a warrant if it wants people's older emails. The legislation would require federal agencies to get a warrant before they can force an email service provider like Google to provide access to data over 180 days old. Also protected would be older, stored electronic documents like videos, text messages and photos. The bipartisan measure was approved unanimously.

DALLAS, Ga. (AP) — Authorities in northwest Georgia say a 3-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed himself with his father's pistol. Officials in the town of Dallas, northwest of Atlanta, say the boy found the semi-automatic pistol in his father's book bag. No charges have been filed.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — Next stop Mars. SpaceX billionaire founder Elon Musk announced via Twitter today that his firm will send a Dragon capsule to land on the red planet as early as 2018.
