YONKERS, N.Y. (AP) — Bit Of A Legend won the $609,000 Levy Memorial on Saturday night at Yonkers Raceway, beating All Bets Off by a length in the richest race for pacers so far this year.

Driven by Jordan Stratton for trainer Peter Tritton and owner Harry von Knoblauch, the 7-year-old New Zealand-bred Bit Of A Legend finished the mile in a career-best 1:23 1/5. He has eight victories in 10 starts this year

"He's perfect for Yonkers Raceway and he gets around here great. He's a small little horse," Stratton said. "Anything can happen when you go for this kind of money. I let everything settle and then went to the front. Our horse has been 100 percent coming up to the final and he was 100 percent tonight."

Bit Of A Legend pushed his career earnings to $1,110,936.

"He's the best horse I've ever trained and Jordan's taken good care of him," Tritton said.

Texican N, also trained by Tritton for von Knoblauch, was third.
