PRAGUE (AP) — Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova says former doubles specialist Frantisek Cermak will be her new coach.

Kvitova has been without a coach since she terminated her seven-year partnership with David Kotyza in January. That came after she was eliminated from the second round of the Australian Open. The seventh-ranked Kvitova has been struggling since.

Cermak has agreed to coach Kvitova until the end of the season.

In an interview with Czech media on Thursday, Kvitova says "I was thinking about what to do and I figured he could help me."

The first test of the new partnership will be a clay-court tournament in Stuttgart, Germany, next week.
