SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Dallas can claim one of the two remaining playoff spots in the NBA's Western Conference when they visit Utah tonight. A Mavericks' win or a Houston loss at Minnesota locks up the 15th post-season appearance in 16 years for Dallas.

CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cavaliers can wrap up the top seed in the NBA's Eastern Conference with a win at home against Atlanta. It's a key game for the Hawks, who hold a one-game lead over Miami for first place in the Southeast Division.

BOSTON (AP) —Top off-season acquisition David Price takes the mound for the Red Sox today when they open the home portion of their season against Baltimore. The 5-0 Orioles play their first road game of the season as the only unbeaten team left in the majors.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Twins will be looking for their first win of the season when they host the White Sox in Minnesota's home opener later todayThe Twins have dropped their first six games of the season for the worst start in franchise history.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Atlanta travels to Washington, looking for its first win of the season. The Braves dropped their first five games in their final season at Turner Field. The last time they got off to an 0-5 start was in 1988 when the Braves lost their first ten games of the season.
