LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Kansas forward Brannen Greene is skipping his final year of eligibility to enter the NBA Draft. The 6-foot-7 sharpshooter averaged just 5.4 points last season, though his size and 3-point ability could make him an intriguing prospect for NBA scouts.
DALALS (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys have signed unrestricted free agent center Joe Looney to a two-year contract. He joins Dallas from Tennessee after starting six of his eight games with the Titans. Looney was originally drafted by San Francisco in the fourth round of the 2012 draft.
DETROIT (AP) — Guard Geoff Schwartz has signed with the Lions. Playing for the Giants last season he started 11 games before breaking his left leg. He has also played for the Panthers, Chiefs and Vikings.
GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) — The starting pitching of the Cleveland Indians is considered to be some of the best in all of baseball. Today the Tribe announced its rotation which will be led by former Cy Young Award winner Corey Kluber (KLOO'-bur), followed by Carlos Carrasco, Danny Salazar, Cody Anderson and Josh Tomlin. Trevor Bauer, who had been considered the No. 4 starter on the team, will start the season in the bullpen.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Jazz are fighting for a low seed playoff berth in the NBA's Western Conference. Tonight they have an opportunity to improve their chances but the opposition is about as tough as it gets. Coming to town are the Golden State Warriors and their record of 67-7.
