DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — The emirate of Dubai has unveiled a new logo for its hosting of the World Expo 2020, when it will become the first Middle Eastern city to organize the event in its more than 150-year history.

The World's Fair, held every five years, is a chance for millions from around the world to discuss and see the business of the future. The symbol for Expo 2020 was unveiled Sunday evening in Dubai at the base of the world's tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa.

Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum wrote on Twitter that the circular logo of interwoven gold and bronze loops is inspired by a ring discovered at a 4,000-year-old archaeological site in Dubai.

Economists estimate the 6-monthlong expo will generate $23 billion in revenue for Dubai.
