CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho Supreme Court has upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit challenging a local practice of re-zoning agricultural lands. The Idaho Press-Tribune reports that the Coalition for Agriculture's Future sued Canyon County over its practice of reclassifying agricultural lands for non-agricultural uses.
RUPERT, Idaho (AP) — Authorities in south-central Idaho say a woman's body has been found inside a house that burned. Minidoka County Sheriff Eric Snarr tells The Times-News that crews responded at about 10:15 p.m. Thursday to a home just north of Rupert.
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wildlife officials say they've never seen anything like it: A pack of wolves killed 19 elk in a herd in western Wyoming without sticking around to eat. State officials pointed to the incident as an example of not being able to intervene to protect big-game populations as long as wolves remain protected as an endangered species in Wyoming.
