KENNER, La. (AP) — Police outside New Orleans say four FedEx employees accused of looting over $13,000 worth of electronic equipment from packages have been arrested.

Kenner police Lt. Brian McGregor says 21-year-old Earl Jones, 25-year-old Joshua Davis, 20-year-old Daquan Thomas and 25-year-old Christopher Washington, all from New Orleans, were arrested Monday on charges of theft valued over $1,500.

McGregor says the four worked as package handlers at the FedEx Shipping Center in Kenner. He says an anonymous tipster contacted CrimeStoppers in February and reported the thefts.

The four men are being held at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center.

Online jail records do not list attorneys for them.
