The Parade of Homes hopes to offer something for everyone. A three bedroom townhouse in Murray is priced at under just under 200 thousand dollars. The home features a nice kitchen with stainless steel appliances, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It showcases a great use of space with a lot of living packed into three levels.

At the other end of the spectrum, a home in South Jordan costs about 900-thousand dollars. It has a large master bedroom on the main floor. Bathrooms have special heat resistant drawers for curling irons.

Home builders say one trend in new homes is that families want big kitchens with nice appliances, even though people cook less. And bigger seems to be a trend in new homes.

Pamela Okumura, Chairwoman Parade of Homes: "I think the biggest trends are the space, the massive use of the space. As you can see, great rooms are great they are big entertainment spaces; they are bringing the family back home."

Another trend in home building that may keep the family close is home theaters.

Ten of the builders have decorated specific rooms to reflect the wishes previously granted to a Make-A-Wish child. Five-year old Josh loves power rangers. He is battling a life threatening disease and recently went to Disneyland.

Debbie Mintowt, Make-A-Wish: "It gives us a opportunity to share our mission to the public and to showcase these children's wishes in a delightful environment."
