So, you think you've got what it takes to be the next American Idol? Well, now's your chance. The American Idol tryouts are in Utah.

Hopefuls started lining up Sunday to get wristbands for Tuesday's audition. Julie Olson told us, "Dude, I want to be the next American Idol. I'm going to be the next American Idol."

Hundreds of people stood in line Sunday to register for their shot with at least 10 seconds in front of the Idol judges. Each hopeful has to pre-register at EnergySolutions Arena, where they'll get a wristband, application and ticket.

A hopeful named Steve said, "They kind of keep it pretty secretive as to what goes on behind the doors once you get inside. But from what I understand there's several levels before you even get to the judges."

William's got his wristband. So do Andrew and Sierra. But a wristband is no guarantee they'll be on TV.

Another hopeful, Laura Smith, said, "I did a lot in high school, and I have some vocal training. I actually, I got into a school in New York when I was in high school. But I haven't done anything since high school, so we'll see."

Hopefuls can register through Monday. Then they'll be back Tuesday morning at 5:00 to wait in line to sing.
