Several cities are offering fireworks shows this evening.
In Ogden, you can watch the show from Pioneer Stadium. In Layton the display will be at Willow Park. In Spanish Fork, the fireworks are at the fairgrounds. And there's a fireworks display in Salt Lake City at Liberty Park.
If you're wondering what to do before the fireworks tonight, many events are planned around the state on this Pioneer Day.
Beginning at 9 a.m., you can visit This is the Place Heritage Park for "Pioneer Heritage Days." The event runs through Saturday and will commemorate the entrance of Mormon Pioneers into the Valley at the mouth of Emigration Canyon.
You can also attend a traditional Native American Pow-wow. The Native American Celebration is billed as the hottest pow-wow in the West. It begins at noon, following this morning's parade and will run until 10:00 tonight at Liberty Park.
Don't forget the Zion's Bank Days of '47 Rodeo. The action begins at 4:00 at the EnergySolutions Arena.
In Cache County, the Lions Club holds a breakfast at Willow Park. There's beach volleyball and the kids rodeo at the fairgrounds.
In Ogden, there's a chuck wagon lunch and a rodeo this evening.
In Layton, the "Taste of the Town" takes place at Layton Commons Park, and a free concert with "Riders in the Sky" is happening at the Kenley Amphitheater.
And in Cottonwood Heights, it's Butlerville Days, with activities all day at Butler Park.
