(KSL News) Beginning tomorrow, the minimum wage in Utah will go up to $6.55 an hour. That's up from $5.85 an hour.
The increase was necessary to meet the U.S. Department of Labor's minimum. The federal government began a series of increases last year.
The minimum wage first jumped from $5.15 an hour to $5.85. Next year, a third increase will raise the wage to $7.25 an hour.
