HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Joshua Filmore hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with nine seconds to play and finished with 18 points to help Southeast Louisiana beat McNeese State 82-80 Monday night.

Jordan Capps had 20 points and 14 rebounds and Marlain Veal scored 19 — all career highs — for Southeastern Louisiana (4-17, 2-6 Southland).

McNeese State (5-14, 3-6) took its biggest lead, 49-37, with 13:19 left. But JaMichael Hawkins hit four 3s as the Lions responded with a 15-2 run to lead by one.

After a 10-0 run put the Cowboys up 76-70, Southeast Louisiana scored six straight to tie it with a minute to go.

Jarren Greenwood hit a 3 and, after a layup by Veal on the other end, made 1 of 2 free throws to give McNeese State an 80-78 lead with 17 seconds left. Filmore's 3 eight seconds later proved to be the winner.

Greenwood scored a career-high 28 points, including five 3-pointers, for McNeese State.
