(KSL News) Boy Scout Troop 87 from Logan is getting some much-deserved thanks tonight for rescuing a lost scout a week ago.

These pictures show them on their 50-mile hike in the High Uintas. They came across 14-year-old Trenton Taylor of Roosevelt who had become separated from his Scout troop. The boys immediately sheltered Trenton in some trees, started a fire to warm him and fed him a hot meal of beef stew.

As a result, a planned search was called off, saving others a lot of time and money, but most importantly, they found Trenton!
