SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Intermountain Healthcare is being recognized for being tech savvy.
For the seventh time in eight years, I-H-C is named one of the country's most technologically savvy hospital systems as it makes the 100 Most Wired list.
It's the only Utah health-care provider to make the list by Hospitals and Health Networks, the journal of the American Hospital Association.
I-H-C began developing electronic health records in the 1970s. Last year, the company launched a venture with G-E Healthcare to create the next generation of the electronic health records.
The survey says hospitals on the most-wired list do a better job at various things such as evaluating new technology projects and maintaining digital medical records.
The survey looked at more than 12-hundred hospitals around the nation.
