RENO, Nev. (AP) — Police have arrested a suspect accused of stabbing a man while trying to steal his watch at a Reno casino.
Authorities say 34-year-old Adam J. Gardner is facing charges of robbery and battery with a deadly weapon.
According to police, officers were called to Atlantis Casino around 2:15 p.m. Saturday about a fight and a stabbing.
They say Gardner tried to take the watch when he and the victim got into an altercation.
When the victim reached to get his watch back, Gardner allegedly stabbed him in the forearm.
Police say casino security saw the incident and detained Gardner until officers arrived.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators also arrested 32-year-old Brandy Murray, who was accompanying Gardner, on unrelated charges.
