CHICAGO (AP) — Grandy Glaze and Joshua Braun scored 19 points apiece to help Grand Canyon crush Chicago State 90-65 on Thursday night.
Glaze was 7 of 8 from the floor with 10 rebounds for the Antelopes (17-2, 4-0 Western Athletic). Braun grabbed nine rebounds with three 3-pointers. DeWayne Russell added 11 points and five assists. Grand Canyon shot nearly 46 percent, was 8 of 17 from beyond the arc and dominated the boards, 48-30.
Chicago State (4-18, 0-5) was led by Fred Sims Jr. with 13 points and Elliott Cole with 10. Trayvon Palmer had four blocked shots.
Palmer made the first basket of the game, giving Chicago State its only lead. Braun then made back-to-back 3-pointers to kickstart Grand Canyon, which held a 43-31 advantage at the break.
Grand Canyon then opened the second half with a 15-2 run and ran away with it.
