ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Keri Belle held off a late charge by Stormy Lucy to win the $100,000 Megahertz Stakes for older fillies and mares by a nose Monday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Hall of Famer Alex Solis, Keri Belle ran one mile on turf in 1:36.30 and paid $27.80, $12.40 and $8.40 at 12-1 odds.

Stormy Lucy returned $3.80 and $3.20, while Theatre Star was another neck back in third and paid $5.20 to show.

Trained by John Shirreffs, Keri Belle went five-wide at the top of the stretch. Solis won nine stakes at Santa Anita with the race's namesake.

The victory, worth $60,000, increased Keri Belle's career earnings to $229,030, with four wins in 12 starts. It was the 6-year-old mare's first stakes win in the Grade 3 race.
