YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Alec Peters and Darien Walker scored 18 points apiece to help lead Valparaiso to a dominating 96-65 win over Youngstown State on Monday night.
Peters, who had 15 in the first half, made 7 of 11 from the floor and nailed all four attempts from beyond the arc. Walker made 6 of 9 field goals, including 4 of 5 from long range. Jubril Adekoya added 12 points and Vashil Fernandez picked up his second straight double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Valparaiso (16-3, 6-0 Horizon League), which won its sixth straight and 10th of its last 11, has won all six league games by at least 12 points.
The Crusaders jumped out to an early lead and sprinted to a 52-28 halftime advantage. They were up 73-45 midway through the second period.
Cameron Morse led Youngstown State (7-13, 2-5) with 23 points and Jordan Andrews added 12.
