Wright State starts fast, routs Youngstown State, 81-45

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Michael Karena, Mark Alstork and Grant Benzinger each scored 13 points as Wright State routed Youngstown State, 81-45 on Saturday night.

Wright State got off to a fast start. When Alstork made a jumper with 8:05 remaining in the first half, the Raiders' lead stood at 26-11. Benzinger hit a 3-pointer with five seconds left and added a free throw to make it 43-26 at intermission.

The Raiders held Youngstown's offense to just 28.8 percent shooting (15 of 52), including 4 of 16 from 3-point range, and forced 19 turnovers.

Wright State was 31 of 63 from the floor (49.2 percent), including 7 of 26 from distance, dished out 18 assists and collected 10 steals.

JT Yoho added 12 points for the Raiders (10-8, 4-1 Horizon).

Cameron Morse scored 18 points to lead the Penguins (7-12, 2-4).
