DENTON, Texas (AP) — Chris Harrison-Docks scored 16 points and Aaron Cosby had 16 more, including five clutch free throws, and Western Kentucky slipped by North Texas 81-76 on Saturday night.

Justin Johnson had 13 points and Anton Waters and Nigel Snipes each finished with 10 for Western Kentucky (10-8, 2-3 Conference USA).

The Hilltoppers never trailed in the second half and had a 60-51 lead after a Fredrick Edmond jumper with 11:39 left.

North Texas battled back to cut its deficit to 69-66 after a Jeremy Combs jumper with 2:59 remaining, and then down to two (74-72) with 47 seconds left. But the Mean Green could not get over the hump, as Harrison-Docks hit a pair at the line and Cosby hit 5 of 6 to close out the game.

Reese scored 23 and Combs had 21 points for North Texas (7-11, 2-3).
