RENO, Nev. (AP) — Schools in the Reno area are delayed or closed because of snowy weather in northern Nevada. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that wet snow melted into a slick mess on Reno roads this morning. Washoe County schools are on a two-hour delay, as is Bishop Manogue High School. Incline Village schools are closed. Troopers say crashes and slide offs began before 6 a.m. Some areas require chains or snow tires.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say two people were shot after a dispute outside a home near Las Vegas last night. KVVU-TV reports that Lt. Dan McGrath says one man died at the scene and another was taken to University Medical Center in extreme critical condition. He had a gunshot wound to the head. Police are still looking for the suspected gunman. That person's name has not been released.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina is scheduled for a visit to Nevada on Sunday. The former Hewlett-Packard CEO is stopping at the Siena Community Association in Las Vegas at 11 a.m. and at 3 p.m. she appears at a town hall at the Lakeridge Golf Course in Reno.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Rene Angelil, the husband and manager of Celine Dion, has died. He was 73 and had battled throat cancer. The Clark County Coroner says Angelil died at home in Henderson under the care of a doctor. The coroner said he died of natural causes and no further investigation is expected.
