LAS VEGAS (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina is headed to Nevada. The former Hewlett-Packard CEO is stopping at the Siena Community Association in Las Vegas at 11 a.m. on Sunday. She'll then head north for a 3 p.m. town hall at the Lakeridge Golf Course in Reno.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Some of Nevada's top elected Republicans say they're setting aside their differences in a school choice lawsuit. Lt. Gov. Mark Hutchison said he'll suspend a lawsuit he filed on behalf of parents seeking a speedy court decision preserving Nevada's new Education Savings Account program. Attorney General Adam Laxalt said he'll withdraw a motion to dismiss that suggested Hutchison was being unethical.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — State officials have awarded $5.6 million in grants to hire more than 160 social workers and mental health professionals in Nevada schools as part of an anti-bullying initiative. Lawmakers voted last spring to authorize major anti-bullying initiatives proposed by Gov. Brian Sandoval and aimed at preventing trauma and suicide.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas woman accused of kidnapping and killing her ex-boyfriend's 10-year-old daughter in 2012 has accepted a plea deal that is expected to spare her the possibility of facing the death penalty. KLAS-TV reports Brenda Stokes Wilson originally pleaded not guilty and was scheduled to go to trial last April. She's expected to get a life prison term at her sentencing set for March 9.
