NEW YORK (AP) — The NHL has fined New Jersey Devils forward Jordin Tootoo $2,000 for his second offense of the diving-embellishment rule.
The league announced the fine on Thursday.
Tootoo was issued a warning for his action in a game against the New York Rangers on Oct. 18. He was cited for his second offense, which triggered the $2,000 fine, for an incident in the third period against Detroit last week.
The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
