HOUSTON (AP) — Anthony Odunsi scored 16 points with five assists as Houston Baptist won its fifth-straight, beating Nicholls State 78-69 on Wednesday night.

Odunsi finished with 5-of-13 shooting from the field and 6-of-6 from the line for the Huskies (9-7, 4-0 Southland). Reveal Chukwujekwu added 10 points and four rebounds, Colter Lasher and Asa Cantwell had nine points apiece and Josh Ibarra chipped in eight points and eight rebounds. The Huskies had a 42-33 rebounding edge over Nicholls State.

Chukwujekwu scored six points in the final 2:40 of the first half, helping Houston Baptist to a 33-27 edge at the break.

Nicholls State pulled to within three, 45-42, early in the second half but Cantwell hit two 3-pointers and Odunsi sank three back-to-back buckets to help extend the Huskies lead to 75-57 with 3:28 to go.

K.C. Caudill scored 11 points with 10 rebounds for the Colonels (5-12, 1-2).
