LOS ANGELES (AP) — UCLA has promoted Kennedy Polamalu to offensive coordinator and hired Marques Tuiasosopo as its quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator.
Bruins coach Jim Mora announced the changes to his staff Wednesday.
UCLA also hired Rip Scherer to be its new tight ends coach.
Polamalu replaces Noel Mazzone, who took the same job at Texas A&M after four mostly successful seasons under Mora.
Polamalu has been the Bruins' running backs coach for the past two seasons. He was the offensive coordinator and running backs coach at Southern California, his alma mater, from 2010-12.
Tuiasosopo was USC's tight ends coach for the past two years. The former Washington quarterback is returning to UCLA, where he served as Mora's tight ends coach in 2012.
Scherer was UCLA's assistant athletic director overseeing football.
