PROVO, Utah (AP) -- The owner of the defunct Flix Club movie store has pleaded no contest to reduced criminal charges stemming from allegations that he and another man paid teenage girls for sex.
In a deal with prosecutors, Daniel Dean Thompson entered the plea on two counts of class A misdemeanor sexual battery Friday in American Fork's 4th District Court. Each count carries a possible penalty of one year in the Utah County Jail and fines.
Utah County prosecutors originally charged Thompson with third-degree felony unlawful sexual activity with a minor. A misdemeanor charge of patronizing a prostitute was also dropped.
