INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Two-time Olympic medalist Fabian Hambuechen and Olympic silver medalist Ryohei Kato headline the international competitors in the 2016 American Cup in Newark, New Jersey in March.

The first big gymnastics tune-up for the 2016 Summer Olympics features eight men and eight women.

Reigning Olympic all-around champion Gabby Douglas and 2015 U.S. world championship team member Maggie Nichols lead the women's field. Canada's Elsabeth Black, who won the all-around at the 2015 Pan-Am Games, England's Amy Tinkler and Japan's Mai Murakami will also compete.

Three-time national champion Sam Mikulak and two-time world championship team member Donnell Whittenburg will represent the U.S. men. Nile Wilson, a member of the British team that won bronze at last year's worlds, and China's Sun Wei will also be at the event on March 5.
