NORTH HAVERHILL, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire man who was sentenced to prison for facilitating the killing of a developmentally disabled man through a series of jailhouse calls is eligible for parole on one of his charges.
Michael Robie pleaded guilty in January 2010 to conspiring to kill 25-year-old Christopher Gray, of Groton, Vermont, for allegedly flirting with his girlfriend. He was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison.
Authorities said two men fatally stabbed Gray in 2008 after Robie's then-girlfriend lured Gray to a North Haverhill property. Authorities said Robie helped advance the murder plot while in jail.
The Caledonian Record reports (http://bit.ly/1ZnFk69 ) 25-year-old Robie is currently serving his first sentence of 7 to 15 years for first-degree assault. He would begin his second sentence if he's paroled. A hearing is scheduled for Feb. 25.
