MILWAUKEE (AP) — Luke Fischer scored 18 points, Henry Ellenson added 15 points with 10 rebounds and Marquette pulled away late and beat St. John's 81-75 on Saturday.

Haanif Cheatham had 15 points and Duane Wilson 14 for Marquette (12-4, 2-2 Big East). Traci Carter chipped in six points and eight assists, and matched a career-best with four steals.

Durand Johnson scored 18 points with four 3-pointers to lead St. John's (7-10, 0-4), which has lost seven straight including its first four Big East contests. Ron Mvouika had 13 points and five assists.

Mvouika made a 3-pointer to tie it a 63-all with 4:44 left. Ellenson answered with a jumper to spark a 10-2 run and Marquette led 73-65 with a minute to play. Fischer scored four points with a block, Ellenson had two defensive rebounds, and the Red Storm missed seven shots during the stretch.
