RUSTON, La. (AP) — Trey Freeman scored 21 points and Aaron Bacote added 17 more to lift Old Dominion to a 56-53 win over Louisiana Tech and snap the Bulldogs' 39-game home winning streak Thursday night.

Freeman was 10 of 21 from the floor, while Bacote was 6 of 10 and had a pair of free throws with a minute remaining to break a 53-53 tie. Denzell Taylor then went 1 for 2 from the foul line to pad the advantage and got a steal with 13 seconds left to clinch the win for Old Dominion (9-6, 2-0 Conference USA).

Louisiana Tech (12-3, 1-1) had battled back from a nine point second-half deficit to briefly retake the lead with Alex Hamilton's layup to make it 51-49 with 2:56 left.

Hamilton finished with 15 points to lead the Bulldogs, who'd entered the game with the second-longest active Division I home win streak.
