BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Marcus Colbert and Sarp Gobeloglu combined for 41 points as Montana State held off Sacramento State for a 71-64 win in Big Sky Conference action on Thursday night.
Colbert made 3 of 5 from beyond the arc for 21 points and Gobeloglu had a career-high 20, making 5 of 7 from long range. Tyler Hall added 11 points for the Montana State (7-8, 2-1) which has won two straight after dropping four consecutive games.
Sacramento State's Jeff Wu nailed a 3-pointer to give the Hornets a 61-60 lead with 2:48 left in the game. Hall answered with a jumper and the Bobcats outscored Sacramento State 11-3 in the final minutes.
The Bobcats hit 11 of 24 from long range.
Dreon Barlett was 3 of 5 from beyond the arc for 13 points for the Hornets (7-6, 0-2), who have lost four of their last five games.
