COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina linebacker Skai Moore will return to the Gamecocks under new coach Will Muschamp next season instead of leaving for the NFL draft.
Moore led the Gamecocks in tackles the past three seasons. He had 111 stops this season, with two sacks and a team-best four interceptions.
Moore announced his intentions on Instgram on Thursday, saying it didn't feel right not finishing what he had begun at South Carolina.
Muschamp says he thought Moore made a "mature decision" and was excited to coach him next season.
