SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake police asked for the public's help Wednesday to find a man with a history of drive-by shootings who investigators believe most recently shot up his own house.
Police say Terence Trent Vos, 25, is a documented gang member. On Dec. 19, police say he got into an argument with his girlfriend inside his house, left the residence and fired five rounds into the garage and front door.
Vos also has a warrant out for his arrest for an incident a year ago. He was charged in December in 3rd District Court with two counts of discharge of a firearm, a third-degree felony; and obstruction of justice, a class A misdemeanor, for an incident in January of 2015. After shots were reported in the area of 547 N. Grant Street, Vos later showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, charging documents state. The charges appeared to have been delayed as investigators waited for DNA evidence to be processed.
Charges were filed and a $25,000 warrant issued for his arrest on Dec. 14.
In December of 2008 he pleaded guilty to possession of a dangerous weapon and obstruction of justice. He was found guilty of discharging a firearm from the freeway in 2008 for one 2006 incident, and found guilty of the same charge for another incident that happened two weeks later, according to court records.
Vos is a former Public Enemy No. 1 of the Salt Lake Metro Gang Unit. In 2008 he was arrested in Las Vegas following a shooting in Salt Lake City.
His brother, Isiah Bo 'Cage Vos was sentenced to six years to life in prison in 2005 for the shooting death of Jeffrey Maestas, 21.
Terence Vos is described as 5 feet 11 inches, 170 pounds with a slim build, brown hair, brown eyes and numerous neck tattoos. He may be driving a dark colored Nissan Altima and may be in the Rose Park area.
Vos is considered armed and dangerous, and Salt Lake police warned the public to not approach him if they do see him.
