(KSL News) One of the people run over by a pickup truck has died.
Michele Pereira, of Orem, died last night from her injuries.
Idaho State Police say Melissa Peterson was helping set up a camp on Idaho North Beach yesterday. Police believe she accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake when backing up.
According to the Deseret News, the 1-year-old suffered serious injuries and was flown to Salt Lake's Primary Children's Hospital.
Nicole Pereira was treated at Bear Lake Hospital in Montpelier.
Two others, Carlos and Chantal Pereira, were treated and released.
Troopers say they are still investigating. There is no word on what charges the driver may face.
