LOS ANGELES (AP) — Draymond Green looks to extend his triple-double streak to four straight games when Golden State takes its NBA-best 32-2 record on the road tonight against the Lakers. The last player in the NBA to do it was Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook, who had a four-game streak last season.

PROVIDENCE, R.I (AP) — Eight-ranked Providence heads into tonight's home game against Marquette with their highest ranking in the AP poll since March 1, 1977. The Friars have an eight-game winning streak and their 14-1 record is tied for the second best start to a season in school history.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — No. 9 Kentucky hits the road to take on 8-5 LSU, which has won four of its last five games. The Tigers are led by SEC preseason player of the year, Ben Simmons who is coming off a 36-point, 14 rebound performance in Saturday's win over Vanderbilt. The Wildcats ended Mississippi's seven-game winning streak Saturday, to improve to 11-2.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Florida sets its sights on a NHL season-best ten-game winning streak when the Atlantic Division-leading Panthers skate into Buffalo tonight. Florida nine straight wins is a franchise record. The Panthers have allowed just 29 goals in the last 18 games.

BRISBANE, Australia (AP) — Serena Williams didn't make it through her first match of the season, having to retire in her Hopman Cup match in the second set with inflammation in her left knee. Williams says the problem needs a little more rest just two weeks before the start of the Australian Open.
