WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Justin Robinson scored 25 points with seven assists and Monmouth rolled over Canisius 81-66 on Monday.
Robinson was 9 of 18 from the field, made three 3-pointers and all four free throw attempts as Monmouth (10-4, 2-1 Metro Atlantic) shot over 54 percent and made 8 of 18 from beyond the arc. The Hawks won the rebound battle 46-29. Collin Stewart scored 14 points and Deon Jones added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Jermaine Crumpton led Canisius (7-7, 2-2) with 15 points. Malcolm McMillian scored 13, Kassius Robertson had 12 points and Phil Valenti added 10 points and seven boards.
Kevin Bleeker's 3-pointer gave Canisius its only lead of the game, at 3-2. Monmouth responded with a 17-1 run, then scored the last six points of the first half and led 41-27 at the break.
Stewart's 3-pointer with 7:38 to go put Monmouth's lead over 20 at 70-49.
